ABOUT ME
I'm Karen Alexander- weaver, spinner, dabbler in fiberarts of all kinds.
Beads, buttons, yarns and threads, fibers and fabrics - even stones and driftwood -
all natural and beautiful things - fill my head with ideas.
I live where hills overlook the Mighty Mississippi River and eagles soar over cloud-shadowed hills.
The morning mists dance on the water and midnight stars seem close enough to touch.
I dream of making beauty, inspired by the Beauty all around me.

Riverwood Studio on Main Street in Lansing, Iowa, is home to BigRiverButtons.com
It is also where you will find me weaving, spinning, knitting, playing with beads, buttons and threads.
I sell great yarns, beautiful buttons, beads of all kinds, and books and magazines, old and new,  to inspire new ideas.
Bring in your current project  and "set a while" either working, sharing or learning.
There are a number of guilds and artist's groups within 35 - 45 miles,
as well as a variety of fiberart and other classes through our local guilds and museums.
